My grandmother, Nellie Farwell, loved to shop. In fact, I believe I inherited that gene from her.  She liked to collect china cups and saucers. These cups were passed on to my mother and her three sisters. They each have many pieces of the collection.

As a parent, I want to pass on good things to my child. I really love purses and shoes, but I don’t think Christopher would enjoy these too much! What I would like to pass on to him, however, is a Godly heritage. I want him to understand the importance of trusting in God and living your life for Him each day. If I can do that, I believe that my role as being his mother will have been a great success!

Paul is talking to Timothy and he says, “I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.” (2 Timothy 1:5)

Determine in your heart today to be a Godly example for those around you. This can be your grandchildren, students, co-workers, family, friends. Don’t live foolishly. Be wise!

God bless you as you live your life of faith!
