Has your child ever been sick and you took him in your arms and rocked him to sleep? Maybe he had a nightmare or couldn’t get to sleep. Did you sing a lullaby or a favorite song to help calm him down?
God sings over His people. He sings songs of victory and joy over us. We can be wrapped in the arms of God – protected from all harm. God can whisper things into our hearts that will calm all our worries. Just knowing He loves us is a wonderful reassurance that things will be okay.
Psalm 32:7 –
“For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.”Zephaniah 3:17 –
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
